Dr. Megan Miller loves teeth. While humor is the surest way to get a smile, Dr. Miller realized at a young age she wasn’t especially funny so a career as a comedian seemed unlikely. As an alternative smile producing vocation, Dr. Miller chose dentistry when she was in second grade. She started volunteering at her orthodontist’s office in junior high and worked as a dental assistant in high school and college.

She received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Texas A&M Health Science Center Baylor College of Dentistry. At Baylor College of Dentistry, Dr. Miller was on the leadership teams of the Christian Medical and Dental Association and the Psi-Omega dental fraternity. Dr. Miller also worked as a student researcher and presented her findings at the American Association for Dental Research conferences in Miami, FL and Washington D.C.

Upon graduation from Baylor College of Dentistry, Dr. Miller was awarded the Academy of Dentistry International Student Servant Leadership Award and the Warren A. Parker Award for community dentistry.

Dr. Miller also earned a Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University. While completing her undergraduate degree at Texas A&M Dr. Miller worked as a pediatric dental assistant. There she discovered how rewarding it is to educate children about oral health and make going to the dentist fun.

Since 2008, Dr. Miller has traveled each spring with Tejas Missions to Central America to serve the dental needs of the people of southern Belize. Here in Texas, Dr. Miller volunteers each year with the Texas Smile Foundation at Texas Missions of Mercy events that provide dental services to qualifying patients. Dr. Miller believes to whom much is given much is expected and is grateful to be a member of a profession that enables her to help those in need.

Dr. Miller enjoys reading non-fiction, cycling, and traveling across the U.S especially to the happiest places on earth, Disney World and Disneyland.
